Ores: chance, multiplier, rarity and traits

Chance

Shows the ore drop chance written as a fraction (e.g. 1/5). The higher the denominator, the rarer the ore. Luck increases the numerator, increasing the player's chances of obtaining an ore. There are multiple sources of luck, such as World Events, Potions, Achievements, among others.

Multiplier

Each ore has a different multiplier, which boosts both the base stats (like Defense or Attack) and sell price of any Weapon or Armor piece forged.

Rarity

Every ore has an associated "rarity," indicated by its color, aura, and description in the Index. All ores are categorized into tiers of rarity. They are:

Traits

Some ores have traits that grant buffs to forged equipment. Some ores have traits that can only be applied to Armor, Weapons, or both. Traits can vary depending on the type of equipment and the number of ores used.
}}

Runes are obtainable items that apply special traits to weapons, tools, and armor items. Runes can only be socketed into equipment with open, available rune slots. They are sorted across three categories:
• They modify stats like mining speed, damage or luck rates.
• They increase damage output.
• They increase players survivability or movement.

Crafting is a mechanic in which you use some Ores and gold to obtain a new one. You can craft by interacting with the Crafting Stall in each's island hub, or by talking to the Galaxy Guardian.

Tower of Hell is a Raid challenge in ''The Forge''. It consists of 10 Tiers with 10 Waves, which give multiple rewards depending on their difficulty and completion rate.
To participate in the challenge, the host needs a Raid Ticket, and up to 10 players can participate at the same time. In the Tower, players fight both normal and mutated version of enemies from all islands

Mutations are unique and visual transformations that affect enemies stats, from HP to their size, and their drops.
These changes can be triggered in the Tower of Hell and the overworld. Certain mutations are significantly rarer than others and some can give mobs special abilities.

Achievements are rewards you earn by completing tasks in ''The Forge''. Each Achievement has five levels—the higher the level, the stronger the bonuses. These bonuses become especially useful later in the game. You can only equip one Achievement at a time.
To equip an Achiemevent you have to:
• Press T to open the menu.
• Go to the Achievements tab.
• Select a skill and click Equip Skill.

World Events are a type of event that occurs every hour in ''The Forge''. During these events, various effects take place that can affect player speed, enemy health, or grant exclusive Ores.
All events, with the exception of Comet Star, can occur randomly at the start of each hour

Locations are the different areas that make up the world of The Forge. Each one has its own unique layout, NPCs, shops, Ores, and Enemies. The crafting of some weapons and armor is restricted to specific islands. And multiple areas require completing quests to unlock them.
All islands have a hub with common areas such as a forge, a potion shop, an enhancement area, and more.

  • The item multiplier is the average of all ores used (sum ÷ count). The wiki's own calculator JS weights the average by ore amount, which is the same thing.

  • Ore chance per spawn = base chance × rock luck × (1 + luck% ÷ 100); chance of at least one from a rock = 1 − (1 − p)^k for k ores.
